Hot flushes are an unwelcome symptom of midlife for many of us, but did you know wearing natural fabrics like linen can help to alleviate this issue?
Natural fabrics such as linen, hemp and bamboo are cool to wear, breathable and moisture-wicking. Synthetic fabrics, on the other hand, aren’t breathable and may contribute to unnecessary overheating.
During cool winter months, layering can be an important wardrobe strategy for midlife women. With the onset of a sudden hot flush, having to strip off one thick layer - without having given much thought when dressing to the layer underneath - is less than ideal!

We were first introduced to the beautiful lightweight linen used in our Mae and Monique tops when we created our fully-lined Juliette dress. An extremely popular style, women have loved the Juliette not only for its flattering shape but also because of the exquisite linen it is made from.
A premium quality 100 percent European flax linen with a subtle sheen, this linen has been treated with an aero wash to create a softer feel. This process involves pushing the fabric through tubes with high air pressure to soften and preshrink it. This high-quality linen will soften increasingly with wash and wear.
Our Aero Wash Linen has an Oeko-Tex Standard 100 - one of the world’s best-known certification labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It’s important to us that the fabrics we use are both safe for the environment and safe for the people wearing them.
Monique and Mae have 7/8 length sleeves and although perfect as a bright winter layer, can be worn year-round. Both are semi-fitted for shape, and the Monique has an attached tie that can be worn in multiple ways. Positioned high on the bodice for maximum comfort, the tie can be fastened as tightly or as loosely as desired.
Featuring a flattering V-Neckline, both Monique and Mae have gathered sleeves finished with matching binding.
Monique is also available in a black Antique Wash Linen fabric, while Mae is available in White Antique Wash Linen. All these items are super comfortable wardrobe staples that can be worn year-round.
